Do you support corporal punishment in schools?
Whether or not you use it at home on your own children is your business and I will not ask that out of respect for your privacy. But what so you think about it being used in schools by teachers?
Here in New Orleans the issue of corporal punishment a hot topic right now due to one of the city's most notable schools being told by the Catholic Church to stop it's practice of CP. It is the last Catholic school in the city to use CP and it happens to be all-male and all black. The students and administrators fought back saying that CP is apart of the school's tradition and it instills discipline in the boys, while others have compared it to a slave mentality, being that blacks only respond to beatings.
