Racist video show profane rap from kids reported to attend Stuyvesant High School


City Education officials are investigating whether students at prestigious Stuyvesant High School made an amateur rap video laced with racist lyrics, an agency spokeswoman said.

The five-minute, 41-second video was posted Monday on YouTube under the headline: "Stuyvesant High School Students Spewing Racist Hatred."

In the video, a group of white young men take turns rapping in a bedroom. "You so wack, b----, chilling in the projects. ...," the rap goes. "You black and you so f----- grimy. ... What'cha gonna do? Call your black squad n------?"

"These boys are supposedly the best and the brightest," wrote the person who posted the video on YouTube. "They are spewing hatred and talking about a young black woman who attends the school."

Education Department spokeswoman Margie Feinberg said the agency has launched an investigation. She would not say whether the rappers are in fact Stuyvesant students.
