Wyclef Jean Shot In Haiti; Released From Hospital

Rap star Wyclef Jean was shot earlier today in his native homeland of Haiti, just hours before voting is slated to begin the contested Presidential election. While details are sketchy, reports are stating Wyclef was shot in the hand. He has been since discharged from a local hospital in the city of Delmas. "We have spoken to Wyclef, he is ok," a representative said in a statement. "Thank you for your thoughts and prayers." Wyclef is in Haiti supporting Presidential candidate Michel Martelly, who is running against Mirlande Manigat, a law professor who is also the former first lady of Haiti. The elections are slated to start today (March 20th).
