...that is indeed the question. The recent University of Miami scandal has me hearing words like tragedy, destroyed, etc. I cringe each time I hear it. Please, some one tell me the tragedy. Miami is to have some sanctions, sure. But they haven't won anything of note in years. All this did was expose that people close to these programs give kids some PERKS. That is all I've heard... no corruption, no gambling scandal, no stealing, cheating, etc. 

Kids took gifts... should I be hurt? Or should I be outraged? Me personally, not gonna happen. 

So I ask, should college kids be paid thus avoiding the 'scandals' we have seen over the last few years.
