Deron Williams season could be over

The Nets are considering shutting down Deron Williams due to his wrist injury that has bother him since before the trade. One problem..Deron doesn't want to be shut down.

Quote:
"Deron is a major part of our future and we know the future is not now. ...The problem is he wants to be out there, he wants to be w/ team. Avery says Deron really wants to play and may be feeling pressure to play because he's new face of franchise.

Nets don't want to say they're shutting him down and then he plays at some point. But.... Listening to Avery, shutting him down at some point seems to be the way to go.
Seems like Avery wants to shut him down and even after they announce they could likely shut him down this was said by Deron.

Quote:
"Deron did say there's 'a strong possibility' he could play again this season,"
they had to fly Billy King into Washington to convince him there is nothing wrong with sitting out. In all honesty something doesn't seem right. This guy never had a problem sitting out games especially in Utah but he has a problem now??

Meanwhile, Russian sports media reports that D-Will will participate in Russian basketball workshops for an undisclosed amount this spring, under an agreement between Mikhail Prokhorov and the Russian Basketball Federation. The workshops are scheduled for May.
I have a feeling Dwill will be one of those players who will still be getting checks during the offseason
I honestly think someone else hand is in this

Kevin Garnett (98)
